CIRCLEVILLE — Berger Health System took the first step toward a strategic partnership last week by requesting proposals from four major health systems to explore how a partnership could benefit the local hospital and community, according to Tim Colburn, BHS president and CEO.

The Request for Proposal (RFP) was issued to OhioHealth, Mt. Carmel, Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Fairfield Medical Center, Colburn said. Once submitted, Berger’s Board of Governors and leadership team will evaluate the benefit to patients and the local community by working in concert with a partner.
