CIRCLEVILLE - Well-known children’s characters Bob the Tomato, Larry the Cucumber and their VeggieTales friends will be making a stop at Circleville Nazarene Church in March.

The “God Made You Special” live tour is coming to town at 7 p.m. March 9 and will feature favorite VeggieTales silly songs including “Love My Lips,” “The Hairbrush Song,” “His Cheeseburger” and more.

According to Wendell Brown, senior pastor at Circleville Nazarene, the VeggieTales show performs in large arenas and places like Branson, Mo., making it a pretty big deal for Circleville.

“We were fortunate to have them come here,” Brown said. “This is the type of children’s show that typically does not stop in small towns.”

The live show is based on the characters in the animated VeggieTales series, which teaches life lessons, Bible stories and songs with the help of humor and a cast of animated, talking vegetables.

Brown said he expects the show will be on a par with any preschool entertainment choices out there. While it is geared toward children, Brown said he thinks the whole family will enjoy it.

Circleville Nazarene Church is located at 2264 Walnut Creek Pike. Tickets cost $15 in advance and $20 at the door. VIP tickets, which include reserved seating and a meet and greet with Larry and Bob, cost $30.

Tickets are available now and will be sold weekdays at the New Hope Christian School office by calling 477-6427. They also are available for purchase Online at
