John Stephen Sark 62 of Delaware and formerly of Ashville, Ohio passed away Tues. June 2, 2015 at home surrounded by his family.
Carl E. Hawks, 78, of Circleville, Ohio, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loved one. He was born September 16, 1936 in Vinton County, Ohio to the late Roy and Gladys (Lee) Hawks Sr. On November 11, 1955 he married the love of his life Jean L. (Baker) and were married for 59 wonderful years. Together they had two children Pamela (Randy) Guiles and Timothy B. Hawks; grandchildren, Todd, Ashley, Chrissy and Eric; great grandchildren, Caleb, Ian and Zoe. Carl was preceded in death by his brother and his wife, Leroy (Leona) Hawks Jr. Carl had a passion for music. He owned his own music store in Circleville and created a band named Carl Hawks and the Dynamics. At the age of 14, he recorded his first song and there was no stopping him, music was his life. A dear friend Lewis Brevard and Carl would play music for hours and confide in each other. Lewis kept Carl guided in life. Carl retired from DuPont after 12 years of service. Michael H. Rapp, 63, of Chillicothe, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Adena Medical Center. He was born February 14, 1952 in Lucasville, the son of Howard Rapp and Dorcas (Pennington) Cooper. He was preceded in death by his father.
Edna Faye Puckett 86 of Williamsport, OH and formerly of Waverly, passed away Friday, May 29, 2015 at Genesis Healthcare in Circleville.
Scott S. Shirley, 45, of Washington, formerly of Circleville passed away in Vancouver, Washington on Friday, May 22, 2015. He was born on January 19, 1970 in Kittanning, PA. Scott is preceded in death by his loving mother; Leslie, all his grandparents, Aunt Jody and cousin Brian. Scott was a certified welder in the construction of bridges, oil rigs and monorail passenger systems. He is survived by his dad, Jerry, brother; Eric (Lisa) Shirley, niece; Jordain Gannon and leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins. Private graveside services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were handled by the Wellman Funeral Home of Circleville. Belinda Frances Hicks, 62, was born April 4,1953 to Billie Hill and Charles Dyer. On May 21, 2015 the Lord took her home to be reunited with them. She was known for her outgoing personality, strong will, and loving heart. In 1972 she joined the U.S. Women’s Army Corps (WAC) and served for a short period before marrying her husband and starting a family. She was a caring wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed. Belinda was survived by her husband of 42years, Michael D. Hicks, sons Michael C.(Nikki) Hicks and Billy Hicks. Grandchildren Allenia, Autumn, Michael Jr., Alyssa, Brock, and Breanna Hicks. Uncle Tommy E.(Joyce) Hill among many other friends and family in the Circleville, Oh and Birmingham, Al area.
Edwin Norman Hart, 76, passed away May 28, 2015 at Mount CarmelWestHospital. He was born Sept. 7, 1938 in Circleville, Ohio. He was the son of Otis and Beatrice McCreary Hart. Eddie was a 1956 graduate of CirclevilleHigh School and attended OhioUniversity. He was a member of the National Guard and a United States Marine Corps veteran, serving from 1958-1961. He retired from Jack Maxton Chevrolet and worked for many years at Jim’s Pay & Save and World Book Encyclopedia. He was a lifetime member of the Marine Corps League and was past-president of the Pickaway Farmers and Sportsmen Club.
William Currence, 78, of Circleville, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015. He was born on August 27, 1936 in Mill Creek, West Virginia to Nathan and Marjorie (Long) Currence. He was a 1954 graduate of Tygart Valley High School and was preceded in death by his parents. William is survived by his wife; Beverly (Shoff) Currence, son; William (Shelly) Currence II and their children, Brendan, William III, Cassie, Danny and Emily, daughter; Kelly (Chris) Reinhart and their children, Jaylen and Tyler, sisters; Patty Kelley and Nancy (Harold) Leonard and by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Wellman Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
Mariea M. Fulton, age 84, passed away Friday, May 22, 2015. Member of Delray Church of Christ in Christian Union. Born in Columbus, Ohio to the late George and Mariea Ziegler. Also, preceded in death by brothers George and Charles Ziegler, husband Miller H. Fulton, sons Michael and Steven Fulton. Survived by son, Miller “Bud” Fulton Jr.; grandsons, Miller III (Sara) Fulton, Zack Fulton and Luke Fulton; great grandchildren, Miller IV and Kamrie Fulton; sisters-in-law, Kathleen (Gene) Adams and Lorene Fulton; nieces, nephews, and friends.
