The GFWC Circleville Junior Women’s Club members attended the 121st Annual Meeting of the Ohio Federation of Women’s Clubs in Dublin, Ohio. The speakers, workshops and project ideas presented important education for the club members. The highlight of the weekend were the presentation of certificates and awards. The local club received over 20 certificates in community service program areas with one report being entered at the GFWC area of creativity. The CJW club has been in the top 15 clubs in the state for more than 30 years of reporting. This year they received the No. 1 spot again obtaining their eighth top place since 1994, with Scarlett Ebenhack leading the club to its second one as president. The club also received the Jessie June Magee Achievement Silver Cup trophy, the Junior Scorecard Silver Tray Award, and the Souers Convention Attendance Plaque. Member Kayla Johnson, Communication/PR chairman was awarded 1st place in the Club Flyer contest.
Summer projects include games at the July 1st Firework Celebration, thank you bags for Women Veterans, books for the library, working at the Foundations 4 Youth program, making and selling patriotic scarves and a membership day of food, crafts and fun in August.
