Teays Valley High School graduate Ryan D. Wolfe was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Pickaway County Historical and Genealogical Society. Wolfe plans to attend Mount Vernon Nazarene University and major in Secondary English Education. He wants to continue to participate in sports including basketball. Wolfe has been involved with many activities including sports, student activities, academics, church, and in the community. His participation attests to his belief to be the best he can be. Along with being a valedictorian of his class, he was class president (2015-2016), member of National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Key Club and School Safety Committee. He has an outstanding record in sports including basketball, tennis and baseball. Wolfe received many awards, including Wendy’s High School Heisman Award winner, Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Award, Mid State League Basketball Player of the Year (2019), Bob Bowsher Memorial Award for being Pickaway County Boy’s Basketball Player of the Year (2019) and Mid State League Scholar Athlete of the Year (2019). He has done an extensive amount of volunteer work with United Way of Pickaway County, Village Chapel Church, Viking basketball and tennis camps, and Pickaway County Board of Developmental Disabilities. He is the son of Kyle and Kellie Wolfe.
