The Teays Valley Educational Foundation recently awarded South Bloomfield Elementary School fifth grade teacher Julie Carpenter with a grant for $5,642 to purchase 26 Virtual Reality Goggles and iPod Touches to be used by third, fourth and fifth grade students. “Thank you so much for this opportunity. I am excited to use this technology in my classroom. The students will greatly benefit from the many opportunities these goggles will provide for them to experience other places right from their seats in our classrooms,” Carpenter said. TVEF vice president Nikki Gatens is pictured presenting the check to Carpenter.
