5:18 a.m. A caller in the 100 block of Town Street said she and her husband were in bed asleep when they heard a noise. At first they thought it was a family member who had came there, but when her husband got up to check, there was a strange man in their shower. Caller advised her husband scared him off and he ran. Caller advised the male had got into their refrigerator and ate some food at some point. He left behind a hat and pills. The caller said her air conditioner had been pushed in which seems to be how the male got inside the home. A report was taken and an arrest made on Lee Combs.
8:06 a.m. A Cedar Heights Road male reported it appeared that someone broke into his shed. Some items are missing. A report was taken.
8:39 p.m. A Lewis Avenue caller told police that a male stopped in front of his downstairs neighbor’s apartment and stared at the belongings outside. Caller stated the male hovered in the area for a moment as if deliberating whether to commit criminal mischief. Male is described as wearing a ball cap with a white zip-up hoody and riding a bicycle. Nobody matching the description was in the area.
11:19 p.m. A South Pickaway Street woman reported that someone cut the back fence on her property and stole her Chihuahua.
3:20 p.m. An East Mound Street caller asked for an officer after the neighbor egged their house. A report was taken.
7:26 p.m. Caller requesting an officer due to a verbal domestic dispute happening at [location redacted.] Caller stated he was on the phone with his daughter when the male half started yelling at her. This is an ongoing issue, according to the caller. The male half kicks her feline intentionally, which causes strife between the two resulting in a fight. A report was taken.
12:37 a.m. A Park Street caller requested an officer about four to six people in her backyard near the alley, saying one of them had a light on and then quickly shut it off. Police were unable to locate anyone in the area.
12:58 p.m. A call from the 200 block of Lancaster Pike informed police about people living in the woods behind a discount store, adding that the management company for the property wanted them gone. Police said nobody was living in a tent and people were packing up and leaving.
2:18 p.m. At a rural and farm supply business on U.S. Route 23, a caller reported that a male attempted to return stolen property. Upon running the man’s ID, he was flagged as being part of a theft ring. The man left with the item prior to caller contacting police. Information was obtained.
4:35 p.m. Police responded to a call referencing a female screaming at a male because a juvenile gave him a hug.
9:19 p.m. Police deployed a Taser to a man they sought to serve a Ross County warrant on in the 350 block of East Ohio Street. Joshua Douglas Higginbotham, 45, was charged locally with resisting arrest and taken to the Pickaway County Jail.
