A Circleville dentist has been presented with a “prestigious fellowship” from the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).
Hans Guter, DDS, of Circleville, received the honor in New Orleans on June 9 during the AGD’s convocation ceremony, “a commencement celebration that recognizes AGD member’s commitment to excellence in dental education.” Guter was one of 267 other dentists to receive the award.
According to the AGD, the Fellowship Award “is presented to dentists looking to provide the highest quality of dental care by remaining current in their profession.”
“In order to receive this award, Dr. Guter completed 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed a comprehensive written exam, and fulfilled three years of continuing membership with the AGD,” according to a press release from the AGD. “As a recipient of the award, Dr. Guter has joined an elite group of more than 16,839 members of the dental community who understand that great smiles and good oral health for their patients are the result of going above and beyond basic requirements.”
The Fellowship Award, says AGD, “symbolizes excellence in the dental profession and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.”
“The AGD is proud to honor Dr. Guter for his commitment to continuing education and dedication to providing his patients with advanced and exceptional oral health care,” says AGD President Manuel A. Cordero, DDS, CPH, MAGD. “Dr. Guter has gone above and beyond his duties, distinguishing himself professionally amongst his peers and exemplifying his allegiance to the dental community.”
Guter is a 1989 graduate of The Ohio State College of Dentistry. He currently practices dentistry in Circleville. Guter is a member of the AGD, the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Facial Esthetics, American Orthodontic Society, Academy of Contemporary Dentistry, Rehwinkle Dental Society and numerous study clubs.
