The Aida cast during rehearsals leading up to the two performances that are in two weeks.
Ohio Christian University’s production of Aida is in full swing as the cast work to polish the show ahead of two scheduled performances in about two weeks.
Alana Bradley directs the production. She shared the synopsis of the musical.
“You’ll experience the world of ancient Egypt through the eyes of an enslaved Nubian princess, Aida, who finds her heart entangled with Radames, an Egyptian soldier who is betrothed to the Pharaoh’s daughter, Amneris. As their forbidden love blossoms, Aida is forced to weigh her heart against the responsibility that she faces as the leader of her people. Audiences will enjoy hearing the story told through beautifully written songs like “Written in the Stars,” “I Know the Truth” and “Strongest Suit.”
Cassidy Saldana, ’20, will take the lead as Aida while Daniel McQueen, a current sophomore takes on the role of Radames. Makayla Briggs, ’21, will be in the role of Amneris.
