Colburn named Health Commissioner

Colburn previously served as OhioHealth Berger Hospital and worked at Berger for more than 23 years. He led the hospital through several tough challenges including a $4 million initiative to convert hospital rooms to single-patient, rebuilding the hospital’s emergency department, the transition through and merger of Berger into OhioHealth and navigating the COVID-19 pandemic.

”I am honored and excited to be working at Pickaway County Public Health. This role satisfies a few of my goals — to work in our community and to improve the health of our community,” Colburn said. “A vibrant community starts with its health and well-being”.

Mike Wolford, president of the Pickaway County Board of Health, shared what Colburn’s hiring means for the organization.

The Board of Health is proud of the service we provide to the community and we feel that Tim will bring an exciting new chapter to our organization,” he said. “His experience and professionalism will serve the residents of Pickaway County well.”

Colburn’s first day was Monday.
