CIRCLEVILLE — The Circleville Administration is shuffling some positions following the retirement of service director Don Sherman.
Terry Frazier, formerly the safety director for the city, will now serve as the service director, overseeing the streets and various service department related projects around the city.
Don McIlroy, Circleville Mayor, said Tony Chaimberlain, the human resources director, will continue in that roll. However, the administration also wants him as safety director as well and is examining whether a city ordinance approved by city council is needed to combine the dual positions into one. McIlroy also said Don Sherman, the previous service director, retired.
McIlroy, who hired Frazier as safety director back in March, worked for Pickaway County for 35 years in a number of different positions including in the county engineer’s office and as planning coordinator.
“He’s already made a big impact and got a lot of things done,” McIlroy said of Frazier in his new role. “We’re going out to bid on the streets soon. He’s really taken the reins and gotten the ball rolling.”
